Ingredients
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs
- 2 tbsp real bacon bits
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 package ranch dressing mix
- 2 cans cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- salt and pepper to taste
- chives, for garnish
Instructions
- Place sliced onions in the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Dump chicken on top of onion.
- Add bacon bits, garlic, ranch dressing mix, and cream of chicken soup on top of chicken, mixing well.
- Cover and cook on low 6-8 hours or on high 3-4 hours.
- Remove chicken from slow cooker, and add sour cream to the remaining sauce, mixing well.
- Shred chicken and stir it back into the sauce, adding salt and pepper if needed.
- Serve over rice, noodles, or potatoes, and top with diced chives for garnish.
